Cristina Bescos, PhD has an extensive and diverse work experience. Cristina is currently working at EIT Health, where they hold multiple roles including Chief Growth Officer, Director of Innovation, and Managing Director of EIT Health Spain. EIT Health is a large healthcare initiative that aims to advance healthcare foundations and promote healthier living across Europe.

Prior to these roles, Cristina worked at Philips Research as a Senior Scientist, specializing in medical signal processing and project management in the field of heart failure and medication management. Cristina also worked at ESA/ESTEC as a Telemedicine Coordinator, leading various telemedicine initiatives related to space research and collaborating with international organizations like ITU and WHO on telemedicine implementation.

Cristina Bescos, PhD, has an extensive education history. In 1989, they completed their high school education at Colegio Nuestra Señora del Recuerdo. Cristina then went on to pursue a Ms. Sc. degree in Telecommunication Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, graduating in 1999. Following this, Cristina obtained a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the same institution, with completion in an unspecified year prior to 2007. In 2007, they also pursued Technology Management studies at The Open University from 2007 to 2010. In 2016, Cristina completed the Promociona - Women's Executive Program in Leadership and High Management at Esade. Furthering their education, they engaged in a Deusto Business School Seminar on Government Relations and Public Affairs at the University of Deusto from an unspecified start year until 2021. Additionally, Cristina completed a C-Level course in Business Administration and Management, General at European Women on Boards (EWOB) in 2021. In 2022, they furthered their studies in Organizational Leadership through the Board Readiness Program at European Women on Boards.
