Sari Makkonen

Sari Makkonen has a diverse work experience in the field of communications. Sari started their career in 2004 as a Communications Coordinator at Netherlands Genomics Initiative (NGI) and worked there until 2009. Sari then joined Publimarket BV as a Communications Advisor in 2003 and stayed with the company until 2014. At Publimarket, they specialized in content strategy and provided consultancy services for developing and executing communication strategies. In 2014, they joined Medical Delta, a network of life sciences, health, and technology organizations, as a Communications Advisor. During their time at Medical Delta, they were involved in various responsibilities such as developing and executing communication strategies, managing online communications, content development, and organizing events. Currently, they are the Communications Lead at EIT Health Belgium-Netherlands, a network of health innovators supported by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT). Sari'srole at EIT Health involves collaborating with partners to deliver new solutions and enable European citizens to live longer and healthier lives.

Sari Makkonen obtained a Bachelor's degree in Marketing Management from HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht (Hogeschool Utrecht) between 1999 and 2003.
