Monika Bachofner

Monika Bachofner, Dr. is an experienced professional in the fields of innovation management and urban mobility, currently serving as Open Innovation Manager and Funding Coordinator at Volkswagen AG since April 2021. Additionally, Monika is a member of the Supervisory Board at EIT Manufacturing and holds the position of Chief Strategy Officer at CARNET, where Monika previously worked as the Strategic and Scientific Manager for the Future Mobility Research Hub. Monika has also been the Chief Operations Officer at EIT Urban Mobility, overseeing significant initiatives in urban mobility and operations. Other roles include Senior Project Coordinator at TU Braunschweig and Scientific Manager at Volkswagen AG's AutoUni Institute. Monika holds a Doctorate and a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and Economics from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, alongside complementary studies in International Cultural Management.
