Xavier Baillard

Xavier Baillard is a seasoned professional in innovation and technology management, currently serving as the Director of Innovation at EIT Manufacturing since February 2022, where the focus is on enhancing European manufacturing competitiveness through collaborative ecosystems. In addition, Xavier Baillard holds an associate position at Time for the Planet, an initiative aimed at funding innovations against global warming. Previously, Xavier Baillard was the Research and Innovation Director for Visibility Systems at Valeo from 2016 to 2021, managing long-term product strategy and overseeing R&D teamwork. Earlier roles included Director of Startup Incubator at Valeo, Innovation Attaché at the French Embassy in China, and Patent Examiner at the European Patent Office. Educational qualifications include a Master of Engineering from École Polytechnique, a PhD in Quantum Physics from Pierre and Marie Curie University, and a Master's in Quantum Physics from the École normale supérieure.
