Melanie Middleton serves as the Emergency Management Lead at FOXXSTEM since May 2025, overseeing emergency response strategy for critical water and wastewater infrastructure in Washington, D.C. Concurrently, Melanie is an Emergency Management Specialist with FEMA, leading community education initiatives and analyzing hazard mitigation data for enhanced resilience. Additionally, an Assistant Building Manager at EJF Real Estate Services, Inc., Melanie handles daily operations and vendor management. Previous experience includes roles as Lead Emergency Management Analyst for the Architect of the Capitol and Senior Consumer Financial Analyst at the Federal Reserve System, where emergency management accountability was paramount. Melanie's academic background includes a Master’s in Safety, Security, Emergency Management/Homeland Security from Eastern Kentucky University and ongoing doctoral studies in Criminal Justice focusing on Emergency Management at Walden University.
