Paul Retana

Paul Retana currently serves as Manufacturing Manager at Velo3D, starting November 2023, while also holding the position of Operations Manager at Ekso Bionics since June 2022. Previously, Paul acted as Laboratory Operations Manager (Consultant) at Zēlos Energy Ltd, overseeing operations and compliance for battery cell technology, from July 2021 to April 2022. Paul has extensive experience in manufacturing and operations management, including roles as Manufacturing Manager at Heraeus, where responsibilities included managing laser welding for medical devices, and roles at Skycatch and Miramar Labs, focusing on drone manufacturing and medical device production, respectively. Proficient in Lean methodologies, Paul held senior positions at ZOLL Circulation and Boston Scientific, delivering significant improvements in production efficiency. Paul holds certifications in Lean Sensei Green Belt and has completed business education at De Anza College and Evergreen Valley College.
