Pat Dwyer

Board Member at El Dorado Irrigation District

Pat Dwyer retired from McClellan AFB in 2001. He holds a BA in Business Management from the University of Maryland and both a MBA (Logistics) and MS (Accounting) from California State University, Sacramento. Mr. Dwyer has extensive experience in budgeting and finance, planning, proposal development and operations management. He has served on active duty and in the reserves. He has experience as an officer, enlisted and a civilian. During his Air Force career at McClellan he was the Division Chief for the Manufacturing Division, Deputy A-10 Fleet manager (SPM), Deputy Director of Aircraft Maintenance and Overhaul and Director of Base Closure.

He was an adjunct professor at Golden Gate University for 16 years. He taught operations management courses at both the graduate and undergraduate level.

Pat is active in the community. He has served on the Board of Directors of Mother Lode Rehabilitation Enterprises, MORE, in Placerville. MORE serves adults with developmental disabilities. He is also the Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Logtown Fire Safe Council, and has been a Board member for six years on the Diamond Springs-El Dorado Fire Protection District. Pat has also been Chairman of the El Dorado County Fire Safe Council and is currently the Vice Chair. Pat understands the importance of being proactive in seeking grant funding. During his tenure with the Fire Safe Council they have been awarded numerous grants totaling over three million dollars. He is a dedicated community volunteer focused on working with agencies, communities and residents to help make the county resilient to wildfire. On December 9, 2019 Pat was selected as EID's Vice President and will serve until December 14, 2020.

Pat and his family have lived in El Dorado County since 2005.
