Sebastián Hochbaum

Sebastian Hochbaum is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in leadership and legal roles across various industries. Currently serving as Chief Executive Officer at El Observador Uruguay since July 2024, Sebastian previously co-founded FLA Ventures, a venture capital family fund based in Buenos Aires, from September 2020 to December 2024. Sebastian's prior positions include Director at Terraflos Inc. and Head of New Business at Control Media, a family holding company with diverse investments. Sebastian has also practiced as an associate lawyer specializing in mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and banking at Salaverri | Burgio | Wetzler Malbrán Abogados and Pampa Energía. Academically, Sebastian holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and completed law degrees at Universidad Torcuato Di Tella and the University of Amsterdam.
