Eric Montgomery

Eric Montgomery serves as the Director of Economic Development at El Paso Electric Company since November 2021. Previously, Eric held the position of Vice President of Business Development at Mesilla Valley Economic Development Alliance from January 2012 to November 2021, contributing to the creation of over 6,500 new jobs and substantial capital investments. Earlier roles include Economic Development Program Coordinator at the City of Las Cruces and Regional Sales Manager/Dealer Coordinator at LaserShield Systems, Inc. Eric's educational background includes a Master's in Public Administration from New Mexico State University and completion of the Economic Development Institute at the University of Oklahoma. Eric also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from New Mexico State University.
