Katya Hernandez, EIT, is a dedicated Protection & Control Engineer at El Paso Electric Company, with experience spanning multiple roles in the engineering field. Katya began tenure at El Paso Electric Company as a Protection & Control Engineering Intern before progressing to Project Engineer at Moreno Cardenas Inc. Previous work experience includes positions as Cashier Supervisor at The University of Texas at El Paso and Wiring Technician at Schneider Electric. Katya's educational background includes a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, specializing in Power and Energy Systems, obtained from The University of Texas at El Paso. Additionally, international experience was gained as an Exchange Student with Rotary International.
