Manuel Gomez has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Manuel began their career as a Structural Engineer at Los Alamos National Laboratory, where they analyzed bonded lap-joints for the FORTE satellite. Manuel then transitioned to teaching as a College Engineering Professor at New Mexico State University. Following this, Manuel joined Cummins Inc. as an Engineering Technical Advisor and later held the roles of Six Sigma Black Belt, Six Sigma Master Black Belt, and Global Quality Engineering Manager. Subsequently, Manuel served as an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering Technology at New Mexico State University. Most recently, they worked at El Paso Electric Company, where they held various positions such as Senior Process Engineer, Resource Planning & Management Engineer, Supervisor, and Lean Six Sigma Continuous Improvement Manager. In their most recent role, Manuel served as the Market Development & Resource Strategy- Principal Engineer and Six Sigma Continuous Improvement Lead.

Manuel Gomez has an extensive education history. Manuel earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Econometrics and Quantitative Economics from New Mexico State University. Manuel continued their education at the same university and completed a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering, as well as a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Econometrics and Quantitative Economics. In addition to their degrees, Manuel Gomez has obtained certifications in Six Sigma, including a Six Sigma Master Black Belt from Cummins Inc. and a Six Sigma Black Belt from The University of Texas at El Paso.
