El Toro Mexican Restaurant
Established in 1960 by Eugene Ybarra, the Baytown El Toro quickly made a name for itself within the local community. Two of Mr. Ybarra's sons, Brett and Roland, began working in the restaurant at a young age and learned the ropes from the very beginning. As children, making tamales became their first true restaurant experience while indulging in free sodas was just one of the many perks. Even as young as they were, they still remember what a great experience it was to have customers refer to themselves as "regulars." Constantly surrounded in the busy life of the fast-paced restaurant business, Brett and Roland learned that great food is only second to the lasting relationships made from serving satisfied and life-long customers. Serving up the best in classic Tex-Mex dishes for more than 50 years, El Toro has created a loyal fan following within each community. Now co-owners with brother and sister Erick and Alice, brothers Brett and Roland have expanded the El Toro family brand to include six locations across South East Texas in Baytown, Garth, Clute, La Porte and Palestine.
