Jennifer Schaff, Ph.D. has extensive experience in various roles related to data science and genomics. Jennifer is currently the Vice President of Commercial Services at Elder Research, Inc., where they also serve as a Managing Director and Facilitator in the Implementation of Analytics. Jennifer began their career at Elder Research, Inc. in 2016 as a Data Scientist. Prior to their current position, they held the role of Vice President of Commercial Services at Chief.

Before joining Elder Research, Inc., Jennifer worked at North Carolina State University, first as a Lab Manager and then as a Research Associate. During their time at the university, they also served as the Director of the Genomics Sciences Lab.

Additionally, Jennifer has experience as a Research Scientist at Syngenta, where they gained expertise in applying genomic sciences and emerging technologies to field and production labs. Jennifer successfully contributed to a DNA discovery project that resulted in an invention disclosure. Throughout their career, Jennifer has developed strong skills in documenting and maintaining confidentiality of project details and information.

Jennifer Schaff, Ph.D. completed their education with a Bachelor's degree in Botany/Plant Biology from the University of Washington in 1996. Jennifer then pursued a Ph.D. in Plant Pathology from North Carolina State University, graduating between 2001 and 2006. Recently, in 2015, they obtained a Master of Science in Analytics from North Carolina State University as well. In addition to their academic degrees, Jennifer has gained several certifications, including SAS Certified Advanced Programmer for SAS 9, Google Analytics Individual Qualification (IQ), SAS Certified Predictive Modeler Using SAS Enterprise Miner 13, SAS Certified Statistical Business Analyst Using SAS 9, and SAS Certified Base Programmer for SAS 9.
