Mariangela Paone

Mariangela Paone is an experienced journalist and educator currently working as an International Reporter for elDiario.es since March 2022, including a special assignment in Ukraine. As a faculty member at Escuela de periodismo UAM/El País since 2010, Mariangela teaches reporting and writing, reflecting on personal growth from student to educator. Previously, Mariangela covered the Greek crisis for El País, resulting in the book "Las cuatro estaciones de Atenas," and has contributed to various media outlets, including Radiotelevisione svizzera and Agencia Redattore Sociale, focusing on social issues and immigration. Mariangela began their career with internships at Rai and Cadena Digital Sat2000 and holds a Master's degree in Journalism from El País/UAM and a Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences from the University of Rome "La Sapienza."
