Simon Appleby

Simon Appleby is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in energy policy and strategy. Since February 2009, Simon has served at ElectraNet Pty Ltd as the Director of Energy Policy and Strategy and Head of Corporate Affairs, focusing on external engagement, stakeholder relations, communications, policy development, consumer engagement, government relations, and corporate branding. Recently, from September 2022 to November 2023, Simon held the position of Acting Group Executive Asset Management and Senior Manager Regulation and Land Management at the South Australian Chamber of Mines & Energy (SACOME) and is also a council member. Simon holds a Bachelor of Economics (Hons) from the University of Adelaide, earned between 1990 and 1993.
