Marcel Van der Park is a seasoned commercial manager with extensive experience in the electrical supply industry, currently serving as the Commercial Manager at Electrical Supply Corp since February 2020. Prior to this, Marcel operated as a consultant for MM Sales and Consultancy Services Ltd, focusing on the South Island market for Serene Industries Ltd. Notably, Marcel held the position of Commercial Manager at Corys Electrical Ltd from January 2014 to February 2019, overseeing multiple facets of the commercial business, including national distribution, marketing, and supply chain management. Marcel also contributed to Sonepar as the National Product and Marketing Manager after its acquisition of Corys. Previous roles include National Manager Electrical at Crane Distribution NZ Ltd and National Sales & Marketing Manager for ABB, with foundational experience as a Sales Engineer at SICK Sensor Intelligence and Category Manager for Industrial Sensors at Schneider Electric. Marcel holds a New Zealand Certificate in Electrical Engineering from Unitec, obtained between 1984 and 1987.
