Damien Schmitt has extensive experience in research and development, particularly within the nuclear sector at EDF from January 2015 to December 2022, where Damien served as R&D Team Manager for the "Virtual Reality and Scientific Visualization" team, leading initiatives that integrated various advanced technologies to enhance performance and safety in the French nuclear fleet. Prior to this, Damien managed the "PRETING" R&D project focusing on the backend of the nuclear cycle, collaborating with multidisciplinary researchers. Earlier roles included Research Engineer and Technical Lead, concentrating on artificial intelligence algorithms for optimizing nuclear core loading patterns. Academic achievements include a Diplôme d'ingénieur from École Polytechnique, with interdisciplinary studies, followed by a specialized Diplôme d'ingénieur in nuclear engineering from ENSTA.
