Daniel Griffiths

Daniel Griffiths currently serves as the Policy Manager for Retail and Networks at the Electricity Authority Te Mana Hiko since October 2023. Prior to this role, Daniel held the position of Head of Evidence and Insights at the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment from October 2018 to September 2023, where responsibilities included leading the Data, Insights, and Intelligence Branch. Daniel also served as a Manager in the same branch and was a Board Member at the Government Economics Network from January 2015 to November 2021. At Stats NZ, Daniel managed key economic statistics from November 2003 to October 2018 and began a career in academia as a Teaching Assistant at Victoria University of Wellington from January 2003 to December 2005. Educational accomplishments include a Bachelor of Commerce in Management and a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in Economics from the University of Otago.
