Michael Brides

Michael Brides has extensive experience in engineering management, currently serving as the Transmission and Distribution Engineering Manager and Offshore Wind Development Projects Programme Manager at ESB since January 2019. Prior to this, Michael held various roles at ESB International, including Senior Team Leader for Geotechnical and Water Management and Project Manager during the construction and development phases of the Tilbury Green Power Biomass Plant. Other notable positions include Team Leader for the Renewables Development Group at ESBI and Geotechnical and Structural Engineer at ESB International. Michael began a career in engineering with roles at Byrne Looby Partners and Thomas Garland & Partners, contributing to significant projects with a focus on structural and geotechnical engineering. Academic qualifications include an MSc in Structural Engineering from the University of Surrey and two degrees from Trinity College Dublin in Civil Engineering.
