Paul Murphy

Paul Murphy has extensive experience in energy market regulation, project management, and risk management across various companies in the energy sector. Currently, at ESB since November 2022, Paul focuses on energy market regulation, leading consultations and representing the organization at external engagements. Prior roles include Group Commercial and Regulatory Technical Management at Ervia, where Paul provided crucial support on carbon capture and hydrogen projects, and risk management at Gas Networks Ireland, contributing to significant projects such as national biogas generation and business continuity efforts. Paul has also served as a Senior Standards Officer at the National Standards Authority of Ireland and held various analytical and management roles in other organizations, showcasing a strong foundation in engineering and business management achieved through a diverse educational background.
