Sean Hegarty

Sean Hegarty serves as the Net Zero Transition Manager at ESB, where responsibilities include fostering collaboration with policymakers and communities to advance a net-zero power system. Hegarty previously held various roles at ESB, including Head of Development for Dispatchable Generation & Storage, overseeing large-scale Battery Storage and thermal generation site regeneration, and Plant Manager, leading the reconfiguration of the Moneypoint coal-fired power station. Earlier experience includes managing renewable energy projects and construction at ESB and leadership roles in network management at UPC/Chorus and eircom. Hegarty participates in the Shannon Estuary Economic Task Force and is furthering education in energy policy and leadership across prestigious institutions.
