Thomas Bastable

Thomas Bastable is an accomplished energy professional with extensive experience in energy innovation and project management. Currently serving as an Energy Innovation Specialist in Emerging Technologies and R&D at ESB since September 2021, Thomas previously held roles at Veolia Ireland, where responsibilities included Project Engineer and Energy Manager from August 2016 to September 2021, and at Dalkia, where Thomas worked as a Contract Engineer and conducted energy optimization projects from October 2013 to July 2016. Earlier experience includes an apprenticeship as an operation engineer, focusing on regulatory compliance and efficiency assessments, as well as involvement in industrial projects modifying electrical installations at EDF. Thomas holds a Master’s degree in Fluid Mechanics and Energy Engineering from the Institut national polytechnique de Lorraine and a Certificate of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Polytechnique Montréal.
