Tony Hearne

Tony Hearne serves as Vice Chair of the EU DSO Entity Expert Group on Existing Network Codes since January 2023. With extensive experience at ESB since September 2006, Tony has managed the DSO-TSO interface, coordinated distribution and transmission outages, and led teams focusing on Future Networks and Integrated Vision for Active Distribution Networks. Additionally, Tony has expertise in renewables planning, overseeing network studies and connection offers for substantial wind generation. Prior to that, Tony was an Engineering Specialist at ESB Networks where responsibilities included operations policy, network protection, and incident investigation. Tony's academic background includes a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from University College Dublin.
