Gord Smith

Gord Smith is a seasoned geophysicist with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry. Since January 2018, Gord has been self-employed, focusing on QA/QC for CSEM and MT field data. Prior roles include Field Geophysicist at EMGS, overseeing subsea CSEM data since March 2013, and Data Processing Manager at Geotech from 2010 to 2011, where Gord managed both a geophysical data processing team and a GIS department. Previous positions include Geophysicist roles at Aeroquest Airborne and Fugro Airborne Surveys, where Gord directed data processing teams and communicated regularly with clients and senior management. Gord began a career in geophysics at Dighem, supervising data processors and addressing field data challenges. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Environmental Studies in Geological and Earth Sciences from the University of Waterloo.
