Marina Gonzalez Vaya has an extensive work experience in the field of technology and telecommunications. From 2015 to the present, they have been working at EKZ, where they currently hold the position of Head of New Technology. Prior to this role, they served as the Head of Smart Solutions Development from 2017 to 2021 and as a Smart Grid Specialist from 2015 to 2017. Marina also gained valuable experience as an Intern at Nokia Siemens Network in 2008 and at the International Telecommunication Union in 2007.

Marina Gonzalez Vaya obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Economics from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) between 2007 and 2013. Prior to this, they studied at CentraleSupélec from 2005 to 2007, earning a Diplôme d'Ingénieur Supélec. From 2003 to 2010, Marina attended the Technical University of Munich, where they obtained a Diplom Ingenieur in Elektro- und Informationstechnik. Marina then pursued their postgraduate studies at ETH Zürich from 2010 to 2015, earning a Dr. sc. ETH in Electrical Engineering. In 2014, Marina also had a short stint as a visiting researcher at Stanford University.
