Junhua Zhao

Junhua (June) Zhao is an accomplished leader in genomic applications with extensive experience in next-generation sequencing (NGS). Currently serving as Vice President of Applications at Element Biosciences, June Zhao oversees NGS product strategy and assay development. Previously, positions included Senior Director and Director of Genomic Applications, where focus was on developing innovative assays for genomic inquiries and advancing sequencing technology. Prior to Element Biosciences, June Zhao worked at Illumina as Senior Scientist, leading R&D for NGS library preparation product development, verification, and qualification. June Zhao holds a Ph.D. in Molecular and Cellular Biology from The University of Texas at Austin and a BS in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Science and Technology of China.
