Yu Liu

Yu Liu is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in scientific research and development. Currently serving as a Senior Staff Engineer and Associate Principal Engineer at Element Biosciences since May 2020, Yu previously held the position of Principal Engineer at PreciGenome from August 2018 to May 2020. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Staff Engineer and Staff Engineer at Complete Genomics Inc. from January 2017 to July 2018, and as a Senior Scientist at Wako Pure Chemical Industries, Ltd. from November 2010 to January 2017. Yu's academic journey includes a PhD in Chemistry from Caltech and a BS in Chemical Physics from the University of Science and Technology of China, complemented by postdoctoral research and graduate assistant positions at Caltech, focusing on polymer films and microfluidic devices.
