Staff MTS, Software and Algorithms at Element Energy

Trevor Jones has extensive work experience in the field of software and algorithms. Trevor is currently working at Element Energy as a Staff MTS, specializing in software and algorithms. Prior to this, Trevor worked at Gotion Inc. for four years as a Staff Battery Management System Application Software Engineer. From 2011 to 2018, they served as a Sr Servo Controls Engineer III at Applied Materials. Trevor began their career at GE Energy in 2005 as a Controls Simulation Engineer and worked there until 2011.

Trevor Jones earned their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Davis in 2003. Trevor then proceeded to pursue a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, where they studied from 2003 to 2005.

In addition to their formal education, Trevor has obtained several certifications in various fields. In 2017, they achieved the "Control System Engineer" certification from the Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists. In January 2018, they earned the certifications for "Neural Networks and Deep Learning" and "Structuring Machine Learning Projects" from Coursera. Later in September 2018, they completed the certification for "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization" also from Coursera.

Furthermore, Trevor attained the "Functional Safety Engineer" certification for ISO 26262:2018 from TÜV SÜD in January 2021. Lastly, in October 2022, they obtained the certification titled "Code Generation for Classic AUTOSAR Software Components" from MathWorks.

Overall, Trevor Jones has a strong educational background in Mechanical Engineering, complemented by various certifications in control systems, machine learning, neural networks, deep learning, functional safety, and software development.
