Davide Girardi

Davide Girardi has extensive experience in the field of cybersecurity. Davide most recently worked as a Security Engineer at Element since October 2022. Before that, they worked at Truesec for five years, starting in August 2017, in the role of Senior Cyber Security Consultant. In this position, they performed APT attack simulations, conducted penetration testing of various systems, and engaged in purple team engagements to improve the detection and defense capabilities of customers.

Prior to their role at Truesec, Davide Girardi worked at Outpost24 as a Senior IT Security Consultant from February 2017 to July 2017 and as a Security Consultant from December 2015 to January 2017. At Outpost24, they focused on providing IT security consultancy, conducting penetration tests, and performing other security-related tasks.

Before joining Outpost24, Davide Girardi worked as a Security Researcher at eLearnSecurity from June 2014 to November 2015. In this role, they conducted IT security research, developed training material, and provided security consultancy. Davide was the main author of the Penetration Testing Student version 3 (PTSv3) and co-authored other certifications.

Prior to their career in cybersecurity, Davide Girardi worked as a Security Analyst and System Administrator at Agec from July 2007 to May 2014. Davide also worked as a System Administration Consultant at Agec from February 2006 to June 2007. In these roles, they were responsible for the integration and consolidation of Verona's municipal district's pharmacies ICT systems. Davide also provided system administration and ordinary maintenance services.

Additionally, Davide Girardi has worked in other roles such as DAW Optimization at Freelance Computer Services from December 2011 to May 2012 and Tour Technician Manager at Sounds of Pisces Music Inc. from May 2010 to December 2011. In these positions, they specialized in optimizing digital audio workstations and managing stage instruments and amplification for international artists on tour.

Davide Girardi has a strong educational background in the field of Computer Science. Davide pursued their Bachelor's degree from Università degli Studi di Padova from 2002 to 2005. Following that, they completed their Master's degree at Università degli Studi di Brescia, where they specialized in Computer Science from 2005 to 2009.

In addition to their formal education, Davide has also acquired several certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. Davide obtained certifications such as Mainframe Operator - DB2 and Mainframe Systems Programmer – RACF – Experienced from Interskill Learning in September 2020 and August 2020, respectively. Furthermore, they earned the eCPPT - eLearnSecurity Certified Professional Penetration Tester certification from eLearnSecurity in June 2015, and the eWPT - eLearnSecurity Web Application Penetration Tester certification in April 2014, further highlighting their expertise in the field.
