Abbas Mohammadi

Abbas Mohammadi is a Principal Materials Engineer at Westinghouse Electric Company since August 2023. Prior to this role, Abbas served as a Postdoctoral Scholar at The Ohio State University from February 2022 to July 2023, focusing on the development of failure mechanisms of hydrogen assisted cracking in welded structures. Abbas has also held postdoctoral positions at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Kyushu University, focusing on microstructural characterization of additively manufactured materials and development of high strength high entropy alloys, among other research projects. Abbas obtained a Ph.D. from Kyushu University in the Department of Hydrogen Energy System, Mechanical Engineering, from 2016 to 2019.
