Senior Software Architect at Elemental Machines

Denis Haskin has a diverse and extensive work experience. Denis currently works as a Senior Software Architect at Elemental Machines since April 2020. In 2008, they started working as an Independent Consultant at Constant Orbit where they provided advice and implementation on web application design, scalability, cloud computing, social software, analytics, and e-commerce. Denis has worked with various clients, including a multinational engineering software vendor, a school-management software startup, and a music industry startup.

From 2015 to 2016, Denis worked as a Senior Software Developer at PredPol, Inc. Denis served as the CTO at ZMX Music, LLC from 2011 to 2015. At Cambridge Systematics, they worked as a Senior Architect from 2012 to 2015. At CargoMetrics, they held the position of VP, Engineering from 2009 to 2011.

Denis Haskin has also been involved in founding and leadership roles. Denis was the Chief Architect/VP Engineering at Fashion Playtes in 2009, where they played a key role in the technical architecture and implementation. At B*tween Productions, Inc., they worked as VP, Engineering in 2008, leading the design, implementation, and management of a social networking and virtual economy site for the tween market.

Earlier in their career, Denis worked at Namemedia, Inc. as the Director of Business Applications Development from 2006 to 2008. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Engineer/Project Lead, leading the migration to modern Java technologies and being the technical liaison for a high-traffic retail website and sales automation systems.

Before joining Namemedia, Inc., Denis worked at Cambridge Systematics as a Software Development Manager from 2004 to 2006. In this role, they led a software development group and introduced iterative and incremental development practices and user-centered design on new projects.

Denis Haskin attended Jakarta International School (JIS) from 1969 to 1981. It is unknown whether they pursued a degree or any specific field of study at JIS. Later, they attended Clark University from 1981 to 1985, where they completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science and Music.
