Luisa Calderon's work experience begins in 2001 at the Hispanic Broadcasting Corporation, where they served as an Account Executive/Marketing Sales representative. Luisa then worked as a Student Attorney at Loyola Law Clinic, representing clients and arguing motions in court. Following this, they worked as an Attorney at Lone Star Legal Aid, representing low-income individuals in housing-related legal issues. Luisa later gained experience in insurance defense as an Associate Attorney at Daw & Ray, LLP. Luisa then worked as an Associate Attorney at Galloway, Johnson, Tompkins, Burr & Smith, A PLC, specializing in oil and gas litigation, among other areas. In 2017, they joined Ferguson Braswell Fraser Kubasta PC as an Attorney before moving on to Dax F. Garza, P.C., Trial Lawyers in 2019. In 2022, they joined Elementia Materiales as a Staff Attorney, specifically focusing on litigation, labor and employment, and compliance. Currently, Luisa holds the position of Vice President of Legal Affairs and General Counsel at Elementia USA. In addition to their legal career, they also owned and operated their own law firm called The Calderon Firm, providing legal assistance in various areas such as commercial litigation, employment issues, and contract law.
Luisa Calderon obtained a Juris Doctor degree in Law from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law from 2006 to 2009. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at Southern Methodist University from 1995 to 1999. Prior to their university education, Luisa attended McCullough Senior High School, although the specific dates are unknown.
