Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Field Application Specialist/Scientist to join our team. Applicants should be comfortable in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment. A successful candidate will be eager to learn and flexible with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Travel 50-75% is estimated for this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Primary global support resource for Elephas diagnostic platform, devices and products, including development of training and support materials

  • Will provide hands-on on-site training on SOPS, protocols and devices for customers, and global partners until reaching defined proficiency and performance levels

  • Build positive relationships with customers and provide an outstanding customer experience

  • Will participate in on-site and virtual quality audits of partner laboratories

  • Troubleshoot customer and partner inquiries

  • Work as part of internal team to develop service and support plans for new products in new markets and territories

  • Will support sales and marketing professionals in achieving company financial targets

  • Present scientific and platform data at accounts, symposia or conferences

  • Represent Elephas at commercial events including tradeshows and conferences

  • Maintain strong relationships with Elephas core team colleagues

  • Work in collaboration with business development, sales, marketing and product managers to establish customer-facing product and support materials.

Education/Experience/Skills

  • BS (Specialist) or MS degree in life sciences, PhD preferred (Scientist)

  • 2-5 years of experience as an application specialist/scientist for a commercial life-sciences organization.

  • 3-5 years of life-science research lab experience (Oncology and/or Immunology highly preferred)

  • Demonstrated understanding of fundamentals of cancer, immunology, molecular and cellular biology.

  • Track-record of high performance in a dynamic and demanding customer/field support environment with an ability to maintain composure and provide outstanding experience.

  • Soft skills commonly obtained from customer service, sales, or business development with scientific background

  • Can articulate and bring feedback on platform performance and VOC to mother ship

  • Self-starter, able to work independently and take initiative

  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Great time management and ability to handle multiple initiatives and changing priorities

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally on short notice for strategic account support.

  • Estimated travel of 50-75%.

Nice to have

  • Advance microscopy research or support experience

  • Engineering skills or background

  • Experience working with primary human tissue
