Denise Smith

Denise Smith is a seasoned leader in the healthcare industry, currently serving as the Medicare Market President at Elevance Health since July 2024, overseeing the performance of Medicare products in several Northeastern states. Denise is also an active member of the Women Business Leaders of the US Health Care Industry Foundation since March 2020, focusing on initiatives that enhance healthcare engagement. Previously, Denise held the position of Vice President of Provider Network Operations at MetroPlusHealth, managing a team responsible for various operational aspects. With a strong background at Humana, Denise was the Regional Vice President of Provider Experience for the Northeast Region and also held roles in market development for Medicare Advantage. Earlier experience includes serving as Regional Vice President and Executive Director for Medicare Solutions at UnitedHealthcare, along with a Director position in Health Care Economics. Denise's academic qualifications include an MBA in Marketing from Sacred Heart University and a BA in Business Management from Saint John's University.
