Rachel Yao

Rachel Yao currently serves as Associate Director in Manufacturing Science & Technology at ElevateBio since May 2024. Previously, Rachel held the position of Associate Director for Cellular Process Development at AlloVir and has extensive experience at SOTIO Biotech Inc. as both Associate Director and Senior Manager in Technical Operations. Prior roles include Senior Manager and multiple positions within Process & Analytical Development at Unum Therapeutics, along with a role as Process Development Associate at MassBiologics. Rachel's career began with a Bioprocessing and Bioreactors Laboratory Project Assistant position at MIT and earlier research roles at Northeastern University. Rachel earned a Master of Science in Biotechnology and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Northeastern University.
