Smoot Carter

Smoot Carter has worked as the Partner and Head of Private Markets at Elevation Securities since May 2018. Smoot specializes in executing secondary and primary transactions in private technology companies, with a total transaction value of over $2 billion. Smoot also held the role of Head of Private Markets at the same company starting from April 2019. Prior to their work at Elevation Securities, Smoot Carter worked as an Investment Associate at Emerson Equity from December 2016 to May 2018.

Smoot Carter completed their education at various institutions. Smoot earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Government from Louisiana State University between 2005 and 2009. Smoot also attended Yale University's Divinity School from 2010 to 2013, where they obtained a Master of Arts in Religion (M.A.R.). Earlier, they completed their high school education at Woodberry Forest School and received a High School Diploma from there in 2004. Additionally, Smoot Carter holds two certifications, the Series 7 and Series 63, from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), although the specific dates of obtaining these certifications are undisclosed.
