Nicholas Rubin

Nicholas Rubin possesses extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as a member of the REMA External Expert Panel at the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero since September 2024. At Elexon since 2014, Nicholas has held various roles, including Senior Advisor in Market Intelligence and Advisory, focusing on wholesale market arrangements and imbalance pricing solutions. Prior to Elexon, Nicholas worked as a Senior Policy Advisor at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) during a secondment, contributing to the Review of Electricity Market Arrangements (REMA). Previous experience includes roles as a Data Services Consultant at ElectraLink, Electricity Distribution Policy Manager and Market Infrastructure Assistant Manager at Ofgem, Audit and Compliance Analyst at British Energy, and Barman at Old Spot. Nicholas holds a BA Hons in Economics from Lancaster University and A-levels in History, English Literature, and Physics from Redborne Upper School and Community College.
