Chaomin Li

Chaomin Li is an accomplished medicinal chemist with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, currently serving as Executive Director of Process Chemistry at Eli Lilly and Company since September 2025. Prior to this role, Chaomin Li held various leadership positions at Biogen from June 2017 to September 2025, including Director and Principal Scientist, focusing on small molecule chemistry development. Chaomin Li's career also includes significant tenures at Merck and Merck Research Labs, where contributions as Associate Principal Scientist and Senior Research Chemist advanced research in treatment options for neurodegenerative diseases, cancer, and other conditions. Chaomin Li began academic pursuits with a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Boston University and conducted postdoctoral research at Columbia University, where efforts centered on the synthesis of natural products.
