Stephen McInturff, PhD, is a scientist specializing in preclinical development with a focus on hearing sciences and electrophysiology. They initially pursued a degree in Audio Engineering at Belmont University before transferring to The College of William and Mary, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience. Following a postbaccalaureate fellowship at the National Institute of Deafness and Other Communication Disorders, Stephen completed a PhD in Speech and Hearing, Bioscience and Technology at Harvard University in 2022, with research centered on auditory brainstem implants. Currently serving as a Scientist in Preclinical Development at Akouos, they have also held postdoctoral roles at Stanford University, where they developed advanced electrophysiology systems for auditory testing.
