Elias Kasongo has extensive work experience in procurement and materials management. Elias began their career at Eli's Cheesecake in 1994 as a Cleaning Staff member and later worked as a Prep and Cake Decorator, Materials Scheduler, and Buyer. In 2011, they joined Eli's Cheesecake Company as a Senior Buyer and progressed to roles such as Purchasing & Materials Manager, Director of Procurement, and Senior Director of Procurement. Currently, Elias serves as the Vice President of Procurement at Eli's Cheesecake Company.

Elias Kasongo has completed an Associate in Arts degree at Triton College. Elias is currently enrolled in Northeastern Illinois University, pursuing a degree in Business & Management-BS. No specific start or end years were provided for either educational experience.

It was at Eli’s the Place for Steak, his award winning restaurant on Chicago‘s Magnificent Mile, where Eli developed the recipe for his signature cheesecake. We have grown over the past 40 years but still take our time to create the highest quality desserts by slow-baking in small batches and allowing the finest ingredients to develop to their optimum flavors...the key to achieving Eli's unique taste and texture. All our desserts are handmade and decorated at Eli's Cheesecake World, our bakery located on Chicago's northwest side.
