Kare Piekkola

Kare Piekkola is an experienced IT professional currently serving as the IT Business Transformation Lead at Elisa since January 2022, where responsibilities include leading transformation and change programs for corporate customers. Previously, Kare held the role of Director of Platforms and Automation at Elisa, overseeing critical IT service and automation platforms. Prior to joining Elisa, Kare spent nearly 14 years at Sofigate in various roles, including Business Executive for the public sector and Delivery Manager, leading teams in platforms and automation. Other experience includes a Project Researcher role at Nokia Siemens Networks, focused on virtualization in mobile phone server environments, and a trainee position at TeliaSonera Oyj, where development of group reporting was undertaken. Kare holds a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Helsinki.
