Sean Fryman

Sean Fryman has extensive work experience in the field of quality engineering. Sean started their career as a Process Engineer at Alien Technology in 2000. Sean then worked at Nektar Therapeutics as a Manufacturing Engineer from 2002 to 2004, where they developed and implemented process improvements for medical device manufacturing lines and provided engineering support for clinical trials. After that, they joined Fluor as a Validation Engineer, performing equipment commissioning and validation activities for medical devices entering clinical trials.

In 2005, Sean Fryman joined Nektar as a Test Development Engineer, managing a mechanical test lab and designing test methods and fixtures for pulmonary drug delivery devices. Sean also supervised technicians and directed testing schedules. From 2007 to 2011, they worked at Satiety as a Senior Quality Engineer, managing the IQC lab and developing measurement methods and sampling plans.

At Penumbra Inc, Sean Fryman held the position of Senior Quality Engineer from 2011 to 2013, providing quality engineering support for new product development and commercialization. Sean created quality plans and reports and wrote protocols for various testing and validation activities. From 2013 to 2016, they served as the Quality Engineering Manager at Samsung Biologics, representing the company during audits and responding to regulatory requests.

Sean Fryman then returned to Penumbra Inc as the Principal Quality Engineer from 2017 to 2019, where they provided quality engineering resourcing and approvals for new product development and post-commercialization changes. Sean was responsible for writing and approving quality plans, protocols, and reports, as well as providing quality engineering approval for various processes.

Currently, Sean Fryman is working at Elixir Medical Corporation as the Associate Director of Quality Engineering.

Sean Fryman attended Cornell University from 1996 to 2000, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Engineering.
