Alison Dantas has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations. Alison Dantas currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of The Elizabeth Fry Society of Greater Vancouver (EFry), a non-profit organization focused on supporting vulnerable populations involved in or affected by the legal system. Prior to this role, they were the President & Chief Inspiration Officer of Potential Actualized, where they worked with individuals, teams, and companies to leverage their strengths and achieve their highest potential. Alison Dantas has also held CEO positions at the Canadian Chiropractic Association and the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors. Alison's earlier experience includes serving as the Executive Director of the Association of Ontario Midwives and founding and developing the Sexual Assault/Rape Crisis Centre of Peel. Alison Dantas also served as the Director of Complaints and Investigation at Ombudsman Ontario, where they advised the CEO and led investigations and issue management. Overall, Alison Dantas has extensive experience in leadership roles and has made significant contributions to various organizations.
Alison Dantas Dantas MA C.Dir CEC has an extensive education history. Alison Dantas obtained a Masters degree in Environmental Studies and Urban Planning from the University of Waterloo in 1990. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Environmental Studies degree from the same institution, specializing in Geography and Urban Planning, between 1982 and 1987.
In 2004, Alison obtained an Advanced Dispute Resolution Certificate from the University of Windsor Faculty of Law. Following that, in 2015, they completed the Chartered Director Program at the Caribbean Governance Training Institute, earning a C. Dir. certification in Governance.
In 2016, Alison attained the title of Certified Executive Coach after completing a program at Royal Roads University. Alison Dantas furthered their education at Royal Roads University, earning a Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching in 2015, and a Graduate Certificate in Change Management in 2022. Additionally, they obtained a Diversity Equity and Inclusion Certificate from Harmony at Work in 2020.
Most recently, Alison is pursuing an Executive Certificate in Mediation and Conflict Resolution from the University of Windsor Faculty of Law, which they began in 2022 and is expected to complete in 2023.
