Buthaina Karaman

Buthaina Karaman, MPH, is an experienced professional in public health and development, currently serving as the Officer for New Business Development at the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation since June 2022. Previously, Buthaina held the role of Program and Development Director at Village Life Outreach Project, focusing on empowering rural Tanzanian communities through clean water, healthcare, and education initiatives. Buthaina's background includes significant fundraising expertise as a Communications and Development Associate, and active involvement in educational reform as a Fellow at School Board School. From April 2014 to June 2017, Buthaina worked as an Assistant Program Manager at SOTENI International, facilitating essential water sanitation initiatives for individuals living with HIV/AIDS in Kenya. Buthaina earned a Master of Public Health with a focus on Global Health and Health Services Management from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of Cincinnati.
