Charlie Maere

Charlie Maere serves as the Global Digital Health and Data Analytics Director at the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation since November 2019, focusing on enhancing digital health initiatives across multiple countries. Prior experience includes the role of Chief Technology Officer at ROMBOT, overseeing a diverse international team in developing advanced rehabilitation technology. Previously, Maere held the position of IT Director at the University of Malawi, Kamuzu College of Nursing, where significant advancements in ICT infrastructure and e-learning were achieved. Earlier professional experience includes project management and systems administration at Malawi Telecommunications Ltd, where deployment of SAP proved successful. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Computer Science Applied Technology from Jiangsu University, a Master's in Information and Communication Engineering from Harbin Engineering University, and a Bachelor's in Information Technology from the University of Malawi.
