Jean-Paul Benowitz serves as the Director of Prestigious Scholarships & Fellowships and Public Heritage Studies at Elizabethtown College since May 1993, focusing on academic advising and supporting undergraduate and alumni candidates for national and international scholarships. Benowitz has also held various instructional and leadership roles at Elizabethtown College, including instructor in the Department of History and Religious Studies, faculty advisor for multiple student societies, and director of programs aimed at helping students navigate their academic journeys. Prior to Elizabethtown College, Benowitz taught at Penn State Harrisburg and Lebanon Valley College, contributing to the curriculum in American Studies and History. Benowitz holds an ABD in American History from Temple University, a Master's degree from Millersville University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor's degree from Eastern Mennonite University.
