Sara A Atwood

Sara Atwood is an experienced academic in the field of engineering, currently serving as an ELATES Fellow at Drexel University since August 2024, selected for a prestigious leadership development program. At Elizabethtown College, where Sara has been a faculty member since July 2010, roles include Professor of Engineering and Dean of the School of Engineering and Computer Science, with teaching responsibilities in courses such as Statics, Thermodynamics, and Biomaterials. Additional experience includes a position as a Visiting Scholar at the University of California, Berkeley, in late 2017. Sara Atwood holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, as well as an MS and BA in Engineering Sciences from Dartmouth College, obtained in 2005 and 2003, respectively.
