Joyce Arellano-Bravo

Joyce Arellano-Bravo is an accomplished educator and entrepreneur with extensive experience in language instruction and program management. Currently serving as a Japanese Teacher at Elk Grove Unified School District since August 2021, Joyce has previously co-founded initiatives such as WeSolve, a Social Innovation Platform, and One Life Bodybuilding.TV, a bilingual fitness platform. Joyce's nonprofit experience includes a tenure as Program Manager at Refugee Transitions, where responsibilities included team leadership and community engagement. Former roles also encompass English instruction at multiple Japanese schools and contributions to the Fremont Unified School District as a founding teacher of a Spanish Immersion Program. Joyce’s educational background includes an ongoing Master of Arts in Japanese Pedagogy at Columbia University, alongside two master's degrees in Secondary Education from California State University-Sacramento.
