Kris Reid

Kris Reid currently serves as Director at Elk Island Public Schools since August 2024. Previous experience includes working as a Curriculum Consultant for the Government of Alberta from September 2022 to June 2024 and as Assistant Principal at Elk Island Public Schools from April 2015 to August 2022. Kris also held the position of Senior Manager at Alberta Education from September 2010 to April 2015, focusing on the provincial development and authorization of mathematics programs of study. Earlier roles include Educator at Elk Island Public Schools from 1999 to 2009 and Mathematics Teacher at Buffalo Trail RD from 1998 to 1999. Educational qualifications include a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Alberta, a Senior Executive Management Development Program in Organizational Leadership from Alberta School of Business, and a Bachelor of Education in Physical Sciences and Mathematics, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, both from the University of Alberta and the University of Lethbridge, respectively.
