Lisa Guedea Carreño

Lisa Guedea Carreno serves as the Executive Director of Elkhart Public Library since August 2014, having previously held roles at Goshen College where responsibilities included Library Director and Co-Director of the Nicaragua Study-Service Term. At Goshen College, Lisa developed and taught interdisciplinary programs while overseeing library services, faculty management, budget operations, and advocacy efforts. Prior experience includes corporate librarian at Highsmith Inc., overseeing library operations and environmental scanning, and law librarian at McLane, Graf, Raulerson & Middleton, P.A., where Lisa managed library budgets, provided reference assistance, and trained staff in legal research tools. Lisa holds an MS in Library & Information Science from Simmons College, a BA in Music and English from Goshen College, and an AA in Music from Hesston College.
